Finishing Touches Updated January 2009
Presentation is one of the generic assessment criteria for Anglia Ruskin University and at levels 2 and 3, your work will go to an external examiner, so there are implications for how your work is presented.
1. Cover sheet: the module title, your SID number, an accurate word count and the date on which you are handing in your completed assignments. One cover sheet is required for the module.
2. Contents page: one contents page is required for each module, clearly identifying a list of filenames for the work submitted. Example: CB330999S_s1.rtf The Action Inquiry
4. Reference list: one list is required for each module. Identify the books, publications and websites used in your work. Do not include any references which have not been cited in the body of your work. It is a university requirement that you use the Harvard system. Use the same university guidance to check that you have also cited authors correctly in the body of your work.
5. For word processed reports, use the header/footer to put your SID on each page (but not your name) and add page numbers.
6. Check for typing errors: many of these will be picked up by using the Spelling and Grammar tool in Word and similar tools in other software.
7. Using web pages to present your work: where you use linked web pages, the home page or first page of the set should be named index.html (or similar, following web conventions) so that it is clear where to start. Other errors in presentation include web page hyperlinks which do not work.
8. Check that your name does not appear anywhere in your work: the university requires marking to be identified by SID only.

Module-specific criteria are based on the university's generic assessment criteria. At Pass level, presentation should conform "to the accepted conventions of good scholarly practice" |
