A degree qualification for the workplace, with a proven track record for success and impact for 2007.
We are now recruiting for February and September start dates in 2007.
FEES for February: £1200; Fees for September to be confirmed.
The BA (Hons) Learning, Technology and Research degree has directly contributed to the government priority areas of widening participation and life-long learning by being a fully online, work-based, research degree; and the remarkable results of the first major cohort of new graduates are a testament to the impact of this degree.
You are welcome to inform any person you believe may be interested in undertaking the degree in 2007.
The degree is delivered by Ultralab, a research division of Anglia Ruskin University. The programme is targeted at people in jobs they enjoy, providing them with an opportunity to research and improve how they work while completing the degree in just three years. Individuals can continue in their role within their workplace and at the same time be a part of a remarkable group of research students working together in an online community via the Internet, well supported throughout by online learning facilitators/tutors.
The results in 2006 for the 140 BA (Hons) Learning, Technology and Research graduates demonstrate the high quality of degree classifications. This is a testament to the hard work and effort of the research students themselves, and the support of their employers, many of whom have seen the workplace benefit from the research and development undertaken during the period of the degree.
The innovation of this degree is that it allows researcher students to focus on their skills and how they do their job in the workplace, ensuring that they become flexible life long learners and problem solvers. The innovation of this degree for the employer is the research based nature of the course which encourages research students to look at workplace problems and issues in depth, to share their learning with colleagues and to develop constructive ways forward.
This degree has now a proven track record of success in a wide range of job contexts including teaching assistants and school technicians, NHS workers, office workers and personal assistants, as well as parents of young children and others in carer roles. It is a fully validated degree by Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.
Help us raise awareness of this unique learning opportunity for people in a wide range of workplace contexts including council offices, schools, local hospitals, local businesses and community centres.
