In Time line of research what does the length of the perpendicular arrows represent ( and indeed the direction ?) - why does the postcard cycle seem to be in a kind of dip - I found that a bit baffling.
This diagram made me feel like the lines were wonky - could be my astigmatism! - I felt like it was one of those puzzles where you have to guess which lines were parallel ...
And so I changed it:
