Blogs are web sites that are easy to add to and that other people can leave you messages on. This means that instead of just being able to look at a web page, people can tell you what they think about what you've written.
I started off just using a blog to write about my job and anything new that I'd learned that day. Other people sometimes left comments that were helpful or made me think about things in a new way. I enjoyed writing my blog and I thought it was very useful and more fun than a diary.
I started to read about how other people were using blogs to help them learn. I wanted to find out if I could use one to help me do my job better.
