NCSL, LNLC and other acronyms
Just spent the day taking part in a peer-review process for my Local Learning Network. Amazing how much my experience of peer-review with the degree helped. I found the process less intimidating than I could have thought possible and was able to speak confidently about the work I've been doing for the network for the last year. I hope we get our continued funding - everyone is so positive about the benefits of the network now. There's lots of talk now too about how to sustain the network in the longer term once the funding goes. Until recently heads were saying that it was a shame and that would be the end of it. Now they are actively looking for ways to keep it going.
It was also interesting to note how few networks had brought teachers let alone research assistants! But more striking was that we were almost alone in mentioning the importance of pupil voice.
