Conclusion
A double loop on the dissemination process

I used a double loop reflection as described by Agyris and Schonn (1974) (1) to identify instances where my espoused theory diverged from my theory in action. The governing variables that undermined my adherence to my espoused theories were then more apparent and I was able to generalise them.
Governing variables
• a deep seated belief in the scientific methodology as having more validity than AR
• lack of depth of knowledge especially reflection theory
• lack of self-esteem/perfectionism
• poor time management
Action plan
• regularly remind self that scientific methodology would be inappropriate in my context.
• continued use of reflective practice and study of theory (complete already started AREOL (2) course).
• accept my perfectionism but set limits by planning my time more effectively.
• consider ways of strengthening self-esteem.
Learning from the module
My learning from the module is presented in tabular form. From this it can be seen that I have met the learning outcomes of the module. In addition there have been other incidental learning outcomes. These are also listed. ( learning1)
Future Development of Research
• continued facilitation to enhance the development of community around Classroom Displays Blog and Flickr group
• wider application of first person research technique to other aspects of my practice
• explore work opportunities that allow me to use new skills and capabilities more fully whilst continuing my use of reflective practice.
