Ethical Considerations
I will do nothing harmful to participants and be open and honest with them at all times
I will make sure that all who participate in the research are aware of its nature and are willing.
I will:
• tell any respondents to my messages asking for people to take part in my research what it entails
• share findings with participants
• provide means for them to feedback any disagreements or additions they
may have.
• I will provide anonymity for participants as far as possible.
In addition where I do meet participants face to face I will:
• ensure that individuals cannot be identified.
• ensure that their schools or workplaces cannot be identified without their permission
• be aware that I must be careful not to make too many demands on participants time or to take them away from their duties as practitioners.
I have asked and been given permission from the head teacher for some of the research to take place in school, but only in my own time. This will ensure that children/teachers I work with will not be adversely affected by my research.
Like many people on the course I do not currently have a workplace advocate.
